Report a deepfake
We don't host deepfake media
DeepfakeCentral never uploads, stores or embeds deepfake videos, images or audio. Our stories show abstract placeholder art, and when a debunk is newsworthy we may link to the original post on the platform where it appeared, so readers can verify our work.
We never host or link to sexual or intimate deepfakes of real people. If you find one connected to us in any way, tell us and we will act immediately.
What you can ask us to do
- Remove a link to an original post, for example if it depicts you or your client.
- Correct or update a story that names or describes you.
- Report a deepfake you have found elsewhere so our desk can investigate.
Our 48-hour commitment
A member of our team reviews every request within 48 hours of receiving it and replies with what we did and why. Requests involving intimate imagery or a minor are prioritized and the link is disabled while we review.
DeepfakeCentral cannot remove content from other websites. If the media is hosted on a social platform, report it there too. Many platforms have dedicated forms for non-consensual intimate imagery and impersonation.
What to include
- The DeepfakeCentral page or story where the link or mention appears.
- The link to the original content, if you have it.
- Your relationship to the content (you are the person depicted, an authorized representative, a rights holder, or a reader).
- What you'd like us to do.
Please don't attach the deepfake itself. A link is enough.
